I had cycling plans at Stanley park with Jiahang today. So before that, we decided to get a good brunch in downtown. I searched for good places for brunch through the internet the previous night and saw that Scoozi’s had good feedbacks. I also checked out the menu on their website and thought it was pretty good.
We took the skytrain all the way to Waterfront station. It was located on Howe Street (5-10 mins walk), not too far and it isn’t hard to spot at all as they had their menu displayed outside their restaurant. It wasn’t crowded when we got there and our server was really friendly! We got a sit by the window where we could look out to the streets. I liked our window seat as the restaurant itself was quite dark, so I thought a good lighting for brunch was much needed.
This is my eggs benedict with salmon, served with their house-made Hollandaise sauce. The eggs were cooked nicely, salmon was fresh and it was served on an english muffin. I wasn’t a big fan of their hollandaise sauce though. It was very rich and buttery (or it might just be me, because I don’t really like butter). But for those who enjoy a heavy texture of butter would mostly like it.
Jiahang got their big breakfast. Just a classic breakfast, comes with either sausage, bacon or lean ham. Hers was ham. She liked their baked potatoes, which I agreed. They were well baked and had just the right taste.
I would say that Scoozi’s met my expectations and I would definitely recommend them as a good brunch spot.
